Connie Smith
After working as a paralegal for nearly ten years I attended law school at the University of Mississippi as a single mother of two. Initially, my legal practice covered a broad range of legal areas. Over the years the family law aspect of my practice has grown exponentially to the point that it is now my primary area of practice. I have co-authored a book – Divorce in Mississippi – which is meant to answer in layman’s terms the questions most often asked at the initial consultation. I have worked as an advocate for domestic violence victims representing hundreds of abused women. I also worked as part of the team to revise Mississippi’s divorce statute to recognize the emotional and mental aspects of domestic abuse. Keri Haralson Carroll
My name is Keri Haralson Carroll, and my most coveted title is wife and mother…My husband and I are blessed with four children-one girl and three boys. Prior to meeting my husband and becoming a mother, I graduated from Mississippi College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with minors in French and Administration of Justice. Thereafter, I attended and graduated Mississippi College School of Law, earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence. I had the honor of clerking for the Honorable James.W. Smith, Jr., former Chief Justice of the Mississippi Supreme Court I have been in private practice for 18 years in downtown Brandon until moving to Flowood where I now focus mainly on areas involving family law. I enjoy working with the ladies here at Connie Smith & Associates, as we are like a family. I take pride in my genuine concern for my clients, their needs, and the needs and best interests of their respective children. As a mother and step-mother, I understand and appreciate the different dynamics of blended families. Stephanie Stapleton
My name is Stephanie Stapleton. I am a loving wife and mother of two young boys. I have assisted attorneys in various legal fields for 20 years and have gained a sincere love for the capacity in helping others achieve a workable resolution. With each day comes a new challenge, and helping others is my passion. Life is not easy and dealing with legal issues on top of “life” is a whole other story. Anybody can assist an attorney by doing simply what they are asked, but it takes a dedicated person to go over and beyond to
make sure the needs of each client are met.

My name is Coley Petermann and I have 6+ years of legal experience. I obtained an Associates degree, a career certificate, and a technical certificate in Paralegal Technology from Hinds Community College. Previously, I have worked in several types of industries, but family law has and will always hold a special place in my heart. My name is Caitlyn Parish and I am a legal assistant for Ms. Connie Smith. I enjoy getting to work with clients and helping to the best of my ability. I love learning about the law and gaining more knowledge in order to better help and succeed at my job. Outside of work, I am a full time mama to a four year old little girl. Because of her, I feel I am able to connect better on a personal level when speaking with clients on a personal matter.
